The Oposiciones Won’t Kill You — But Perfectionism Might

Let’s talk about the toxic little voice in your head that says everything you create has to be perfect before you move on.

Spoiler alert: it’s lying.

That “perfect” programming? You’ll rewrite it 12 times anyway. That “perfect” pronunciation? Even native speakers mess up. That “perfect” study plan? Life will laugh in your face and throw you a flu, a wedding, or a mental breakdown mid-month.

Perfectionism isn’t about high standards. It’s about fear. Fear of judgment. Fear of failure. Fear of not being good enough.

The irony? The people who actually pass aren’t perfect. They’re just consistent. They show up, mess up, learn, and move on.

So give yourself permission to write crap on the first draft. To not know everything. To submit something that’s “done” instead of “perfect.”

Progress is ugly. But that’s the only kind that’s real.
